Today, The Fiancé and I headed out on a Day Date to explore Indianapolis’s Eiteljorg Museum. This museum houses an extensive collection of Native American art, as well as Western American paintings and sculptures. I have a huge interest in Native American culture (my scarf even had a southwestern tribal feel to it), so this has always been a must-see for me, and I am glad I was able to visit this museum today! What a nice local treasure here in Indianapolis!

Highlights—-

  • Bagels for breakfast
  • Walking around an almost empty museum (Fridays at 11am is apparently a good time to visit a museum)
  • Special exhibit: Jingle Rails (train track made out of wood pieces that was designed to look like local and national landmarks)
  • Beautiful paintings and jewelry
  • Staying nice and warm inside a beautiful museum!
